Harley Davidson is not only a motorcycle. It is a culture in itself. Like in any culture, this one maintains itself with heritage and keeping journals and historical data in the form of photographs of the bike and the people around it, all of whom made it create the legend.
How many of us know that the original bikes had to be first pedaled in order to get the motor running? In websites that address the subject of classic Harley photos, you can find not only the history of the bike but also photographs of the original 1903 and 1905 models.
Many classic photos of the legendary bike are featured in the Harley museum. The museum is located in Harley’s state of Milwaukee. As you stroll the passages of the museum, you will be presented with an awesome display of pictures that tell the story of the motorcycle company. The photographs exhibited in the museum will educate the visitors and bring them into the world, not only of the machines, but also the company and the people who built them.
For those of you who have even a mild interest in this bike and history of it, you should look for sites like “At the Creation” or books like Classic Harley Davidson: 1903-1941, where you will find lots of information and classic photos about the subject. The book depicts the events from the original 1901 blueprints of the new bike. It tells the story of how Bill Harley partnered with Arthur Davidson and how the little 116cc engine developed into the powerful 440cc in 1905.
