What is a motorcycle rally? It is an event pertaining to motorcycles and usually lasts a few days to a week.
Let's just say that it is a great thing to see if you've ever been to one. Of course they have vendors for everything from motorcycle clothing, to cleaners for your bike as well as your sunglasses. They offer motorcycle insurance, accessories and a wide range of other related items. Of course motorcycle events usually are good for the local area economy as there is an increased market for lodging and other accommodations and of course shopping. One interesting bike event was the "June Bug Boogie." Originally started in June of 2001 in Cookeville, Tennessee, they have over 200 acres of camping space with free hot showers and its own biker bar on the premises with a permanent stage for entertainment. All of this is set in the beautiful rolling hills of southern Tennessee. They have an event on October 31 of each year for Halloween. Then an event in June for each year which is where the name came from. Of course, some of the other most well known events may be Sturgis Rally and Races in Sturgis, South Dakota in August of each year. The other big one is in Florida, Daytona Bike Week and Biketoberfest. Daytona Bike Week starts the end of February runs through the first week of March and Biketoberfest is in October of each year. All of these events include live music and bands and have builders of specialty choppers.
So whether you're a motorcycle rider or not there is plenty to do and see at these events. Hope you'll go and check some of these events out and have a great time!
