Motorcycle Rallies

There are many motorcycle rallies held each year all over the country. They range from the small gatherings just to ride for a weekend afternoon to the more notable rallies such as Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and Daytona Beach Week that go on for several days. Rallies are a way that motorcycle enthusiasts get together to meet and ride together.

Some of these rallies are sponsored by corporations while others are held as a fund raiser for different causes. Some rallies involve days of riding and have gatherings only at the end of the ride while some are just ride events. Sometimes there are prizes awarded for different categories like best bike. During the days these longer rallies go on, such as Sturgis, day rides are usually arranged for just riding the scenic highways and visiting historical sites.

Not only motorcycle enthusiasts attend these rallies. People that don’t ride enjoy these rallies for the partying, entertainment and the experience of meeting and mingling with people from all walks of life. There are some very unique bikes and bizarre people that you may only see by attending some of these rallies. Whatever the reasons are for attending a rally, the popularity is constantly increasing.

There are four major rallies in the United States that are the largest in attendance and have occurred for many years. The Sturgis Rally being the number one for the largest attendance, but there is also Daytona Bike Week, Laconia Motorcycle Week and Myrtle Beach Week. These rallies attract the largest selection of vendors, the best in live music and custom motorcycles.
